Challenge
Turntable Manners, a startup DJing company, needed a logo that would immediately communicate their identity as vinyl enthusiasts and professional event DJs. The challenge was to create a visual identity that honored classic DJ culture—specifically the art of turntablism—while maintaining a modern, clean aesthetic that could scale across digital and print platforms, including social media, merchandise, and event banners.

Approach
While discussing the logo concept, owner Jason wanted to create a play on words with “turntable” and “table manners”, while still incorporating a turntable and vinyl record feel without being gimmicky. I began by exploring visual elements tied to DJ culture, focusing on vinyl records as a symbol of authenticity and analog roots.

Outcome
The logo was well-received by the client and their audience, praised for its immediate recognizability and professional polish. It has since been used across all brand materials, helping Turntable Manners establish a consistent and credible visual presence in a competitive market. The logo not only captures the essence of vinyl culture but also sets a strong foundation for future brand expansion into merchandise and digital platforms.
