mane delight UX Case Study

Case Study, UX, UI, Research, Mockups, Sketch

While taking a UX course through General Assembly, I created this in-depth case study. It was extremely useful in learning the full process of UX (user experience) design, beginning with research all the way to the UI (user interface) design. The problem statement, research, personas, user flows, solution, sketches wireframes and mockups are shown here.

mane delight is a mobile app that delivers personalized haircare products for women based on their hair type, goals, and preferences. The app offers a seamless subscription experience, product education, and community support.

Challenge
Women often struggle to find the right hair products due to overwhelming options and a lack of personalized guidance. Traditional e-commerce platforms offer limited filtering and no long-term support for evolving hair needs. My goal was to design a subscription app that simplifies product discovery through sampling products, enhances education, and fosters long-term brand loyalty through a personalized, user-first experience.

Approach
1. Discovery & Research
2. Design & Iteration
3. Testing & Refinement

Outcome
Within this UX course, I grew tremendously with my knowledge of UX and UI. I enjoyed working through the different steps and phases and how they built upon one another to reach the final project.
